West Ham fans delighted with striker target Albian Ajeti

West Ham are reportedly interested in striker Albian Ajeti from Swiss team FC Basel – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are excited by the speculation.

According to Swiss outlet Blick, the Hammers are considering an £8.5million move for the attacker in the final days of the transfer window.

The report explains that there could be competition from Championship outfit West Brom for his signature though this summer.

Ajeti scored 21 times in 43 games across all competitions last season for Basel and is someone with immense potential.

The 22-year-old is a centre-forward that comes alive in the penalty area and is strong in the air.

He’s already begun the new campaign with two goals and two assists in three games across all competitions, which included a strike against PSV Eindhoven in a Champions League qualifier.

The Swiss striker would be a potential bargain for £8.5million if Manuel Pellegrini’s side swoop for him.

They could do with some more competition behind the duo Sebastien Haller and Javier Hernandez in attack.
