West Ham fans credit Pablo Fornals for his display against Burnley

West Ham recorded a narrow 1-0 victory at home to Burnley on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have praised their man Pablo Fornals for his display.

The Hammers earned three points with a win over Burnley, as Michail Antonio scored the winner in the 9th minute at the London Stadium.

It means David Moyes’ side now have jumped up to eighth in the league table, as hopes of a European finish this season continue to build.

The Irons have lost just twice in their last 10 league matches during what has been a tough season for all and they’ll be delighted to have match-winner Antonio back from injury.

They host West Brom on Tuesday night in their next match, which on paper looks like another fixture they could pick three points up in to help build even more momentum

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media singled out Fornals for his individual contribution during the contest.

The Spanish attacker was brilliant picking up pockets of space behind the frontman and looked at his creative best, setting up a couple of goalscoring opportunity.

He’s a 24-year-old talent that does receive criticism at times, but was given credit for running his socks off for 90 minutes and he’s a player that Moyes likes.
