West Ham fans blown away with Pablo Fornals display v Hertha Berlin

Pablo Fornals played 59 minutes in the pre-season victory over Hertha Berlin on Wednesday evening – and some West Ham fans on Twitter were raving about his performance.

The Hammers continued pre-season with a 5-3 victory over the German Bundesliga outfit and they came from behind on three occasions.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side begin their Premier League season at home to reigning champions Manchester City on 10 August and will need to be at their best.

Fornals, Manuel Lanzini, Sebastien Haller, Grady Diangana and Michail Antonio were all on the scoresheet for West Ham in a brilliant attacking display, but defensively there is still plenty to improve on.

A selection of West Ham supporters picked out Fornals for praise following his contribution.

The 23-year-old netted the first equaliser with a clinical left-footed finish into the top corner, while he also produced an assist with a pass to teammate Lanzini.

He cost the London club £24million (BBC) this summer and is an attacking midfielder that previously impressed in Spain with Villarreal.

The Spaniard will provide plenty of creativity to the attack playing behind the centre-forward and appears to be striking a good bond with new teammate Lanzini.

Here are some West Ham fans commenting on Fornals:
