West Ham United could lose a 2023 signing this summer transfer window, according to a recent report.

The Hammers have been linked with a hole raft of players since Julen Lopetegui took the reigns from David Moyes.

Already, they have added Luis Guilherme to their attacking ranks and they’re now eager to land a new number nine.

Though, it has just emerged, that they’re facing a battle to keep a player they signed less than a year ago.

West Ham United face battle to keep Mohammed Kudus

According to EPSN, West Ham United are facing a battle to keep Mohammed Kudus at the football club this summer.

Kudus, who Moyes signed for £38m last August, enjoyed a marvellous debut season at the London Stadium, netting 14 goals whilst laying on six assists.

Now, interest is beginning to mount with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad one of the clubs seriously considering a bid.

The Saudi league has been able to attract some of the best players in the world over the last 18 months, with eye-watering wages being offered.

Perhaps The Hammers may have to up Kudus’ pay packet to fend off interest from Al-Ittihad.

West Ham United in strong position to keep Mohammed Kudus

Kudus, who Jarrod Bowen called a ‘special player’, is under contract until 2028, so West Ham are in a strong position to retain his services this summer.

Unless a colossal bid arrives, which is way above his market value, it’s unlikely they’ll even entertain any approaches.

Further, there’s been no suggestion that Kudus would want to depart, anyhow.
