West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna believes Everton have several threats his team must be mindful of this weekend.
The Irons travel to Merseyside for their ninth Premier League match of the season and are looking to bounce back from defeat last time out against Crystal Palace.
They face an Everton side in poor form – Marco Silva’s Toffees have lost their last four in the league, with the manager describing Saturday’s affair as ‘must-win’.
The stakes are high for Silva and Everton meaning the Hammers could be in for a tough game, and Ogbonna has been previewing the fixture for the club’s official website.
He said: “They have good attacking players like Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi, [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and a young player I heard a lot about when I was in Juventus and he was in the Academy, Moise Kean, who has a lot of skills and is very strong.
“But we just have to focus on our jobs and getting the three points.”
TBR’s view – Ogbonna should beware goalless Kean
Ogbonna has had a quietly impressive start to the new season.
Barring a couple of games he has looked fairly solid alongside Issa Diop in an improving partnership, and they’ll need to keep things tight at Goodison Park.
Ogbonna’s compatriot Kean – without a goal for his new club – hasn’t actually started any of the last three games in all competitions, meaning Englishman Calvert-Lewin could be his main focus.
One would expect Kean to come as a substitute if Everton struggle though, and £70,000-a-week star Ogbonna (Spotrac) will need to be on his toes against a talented player who will be desperate to score his first goal.
