West Ham United could be set to make an appointment that has the potential to transform Max Kilman following the sacking of Graham Potter.

West Ham have parted ways with Potter after just an eight-month spell in charge, with the Hammers sat 19th in the Premier League after the opening five games.

While fans and players are dealing with the fallout from Potter’s departure, the focus has immediately shifted toward who could replace him.

Several names are already in the running to replace Potter, and one of them might benefit Kilman personally.

Nuno Espirito Santo could take Max Kilman to a new level at West Ham

TBR Football revealed that Nuno Espirito Santo is currently the favourite to replace Potter and be the next West Ham United manager.

Nuno could even be in the dugout as early as Monday, when West Ham travel to play against Everton in the Premier League.

The 51-year-old manager has plenty of experience managing in the Premier League, having had spells in charge of Wolves, Tottenham Hotspur, and most recently Nottingham Forest.

Nuno’s time at Wolves saw him work alongside Kilman, who managed to bring the best out of him as a player.

The full-back played over 150 times for the Midlands giants, building his reputation as one of the most gifted and promising defenders in the Premier League.

His performances under Nuno led to West Ham signing him for £40million, and the two men reuniting could bring the best out of Kilman due to Nuno’s style.

West Ham will have to make defensive improvements under Nuno Espirito Santo

If Nuno does return to the Premier League, then working with Kilman and the rest of the West Ham defenders will need to be high on his priority list.

No team in the Premier League has conceded more than West Ham’s 13 goals, with the Hammers currently boasting a -8 goal difference.

West Ham have won just one out of their opening five fixtures in the division, putting pressure on the team early on to fix their issues.

Fans have been vocally displeased with the situation, which led to Jarrod Bowen arguing with some supporters earlier in the season.

Whoever takes charge will have a lot of work to do, but it would be beneficial to bring out the best in someone as talented as Kilman.
