West Ham United’s search for a new striker appears to be coming to an end as they hone in on their main target.
Indeed, Niclas Fullkrug is said to be someone West Ham are very keen on, and it sounds as though this deal may be heading in the right direction.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk Podcast, Dharmesh Sheth has been discussing the Hammers’ interest in Fullkrug, and he says that talks are advancing over this deal.
The journalist says that there is ‘cautious optimism’ that a deal can be done that would see Fullkrug come to the London Stadium.

West Ham cautiously optimistic about signing Fullkrug
Sheth shared what he knows about the ‘excellent’ striker and his links to West Ham.
“We’re told that talks are advancing between West Ham and Borussia Dortmund over this signing and cautious optimism is the phrase that I have been told that a deal can be done for Niklas Fullkrug to swap Dortmund for West Ham United,” Sheth said.
West Ham are building something exciting
As much as it is a cursed cliché, West Ham may be on their way to winning the transfer window.
Max Kilman is a solid defensive signing, Luis Guilherme looks to be one for the future, while Crysencio Summerville is also set to sign soon, and that’s a very exciting move.
Add into that a German international striker with Champions League experience and you have a team that is ready to challenge at the top level.
Meanwhile, the Hammers are also working on a deal to bring Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the London Stadium.
West Ham are entering a new era after swapping David Moyes for Julen Lopetegui, and it’s fair to say that this new era is beginning to look very exciting.
Don’t be shocked if West Ham do something special this season with their new manager and a number of exciting new signings.
