Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can prove his critics wrong

As Arsenal struggled for form as they often do in November, one of the biggest scapegoats was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. With increasing doubts over whether or not he will ever reach his full potential and hugely inconsistent displays, Oxlade-Chamberlain knew he had an opportunity at the London Stadium on Saturday.

He grabbed the opportunity with both hands and was it not for Alexis Sanchez’s display, would most likely have been man of the match. With six successful dribbles, four chances created and an assist, the former Southampton winger was causing the Irons problems for the whole 90 minutes.

Having dropped out of the England picture and with his Arsenal future reportedly in jeopardy, this kind of performance is exactly what he needs to prove the critics wrong.
