West Brom have offered young defender Nathan Ferguson a new long-term deal at the club, according to a report by the Telegraph.
They report that Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are already showing an interest as they are still seeking a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka after his summer move to Manchester United.
The report states that a five-year deal has been tabled on the back of Ferguson’s breakthrough season and West Brom hope his future will be resolved within two weeks.
They also claim that the Baggies are determined to give Slaven Bilic every chances of earning promotion this season and will rebuff any mid-season advances.
Negotiations are apparently going well with the player’s representatives and that has given rise to optimism that a deal can be done before the end of the month.

TBR’s View – Ferguson would be wise to commit his future
Palace might be flying high now but the landscape could look very different by the time the January window rolls around given their run of fixtures to come.
West Brom also look very well placed to return to the big-time and Ferguson could well be a major part of that if he keeps his form up.
A big, risky move and a mid-season upheaval doesn’t look like the best thing for the defender’s development right now.
