West Brom fans to signing Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan from Arsenal

Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles completed a loan move to the Hawthorns on Monday – and some West Brom fans on Twitter were left excited by the announcement.

Maitland-Niles, 23, has joined Premier League strugglers West Brom on loan for the rest of this season.

The Baggies are currently 19th in the league table and nine points from safety, but enjoyed some excellent transfer business in the last few days of the window to give themselves a boost.

Maitland-Niles has been loaned out by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta due to a lack of game time so far this season.

The England international played in 21 matches during the first half of the season, but started just 13 of them.

He’s been used all over the park by the North London club, including in left-back, right-back, central midfield and as a winger.

The versatile star will be hoping to nail down a position in the West Brom XI and play a vital role in a relegation scrap.
