A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to laud Romaine Sawyers after the midfielder produced another stunning performance for the Baggies in their latest win.
Slaven Bilic’s men are back at the top of the Championship after beating Bristol City 4-1 at the Hawthorns. Perhaps more importantly at this stage, they are seven points clear of third already.

And Sawyers has been a key part of the success. His partnership with Jake Livermore in the middle of the park is arguably one of the very best in the division.
As shown by Whoscored.com, no player on the pitch completed more successful passes than the former Brentford man. Sawyers completed 59 of his 63 passes successfully. No other player managed more than 50.

His ability to keep possession has been a key feature of his game this season. And his display has seen the 28-year-old attract a number of plaudits from the supporters following the win.
Sky Sports reported in the summer that he cost the Baggies just £3 million. And it appears that the supporters cannot think of too many better pieces of business from the club in recent years.
Some have insisted that he was the man of the match against the Robins, which is certainly saying something considering the quality of the performance from Bilic’s side.
Here is what some of the fans are saying about Sawyers’s display…
