West Brom fans react to double save from Tottenham target Sam Johnstone

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to react to the stunning double save made by Tottenham Hotspur target Sam Johnstone in their goalless draw in the Championship on Tuesday night.

The Baggies could soon find themselves 10 points off the automatic-promotion spots after their winless run extended to three games this week.

However, the result at Blackpool could have easily been a lot worse had it not been for Johnstone.

The England international made an incredible couple of saves in quick succession to deny Gary Madine and Keshi Anderson during the first-half.

Madine had done superbly to hook a volley towards the goal. But Johnstone managed to get a strong hand on the ball to send it out towards his far post.

From there, Anderson must have felt that he faced a simple task of knocking the ball in. However, Johnstone somehow got up and across his line to parry the attempt out for a corner.

The stops prompted Madine to look at Anderson with a wry smile on his face, seemingly accepting that there was nothing more they could have done to beat the Baggies goalkeeper in that moment.

For West Brom fans, the saves were a reminder as to why he looks destined to leave. It was recently reported that Spurs have the 28-year-old on their radar as they consider replacements for Hugo Lloris.
