West Brom fans react on Twitter to Conor Gallagher’s display at Brighton
A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to praise Conor Gallagher’s performance as the Baggies rescued a late point away on Monday night.
It looked set to be another frustrating night for Slaven Bilic’s side. They were 1-0 down away at Brighton until the latter stages of the contest when Karlan Grant bagged a late equaliser.

They avoided defeat, but the side are still awaiting their first win since sealing promotion. And you could understand if the supporters were feeling fairly concerned about their prospects for this season.
There did appear to be a few positives for fans coming out of the game. And one of those who did seem to impress was Gallagher.

He threatened to make things happen in the final third. There were a couple of superb crosses, and he also came to close to scoring at the start of the second-half.
As shown by Whoscored.com, no West Brom player won more tackles than Gallagher. He also led the way for interceptions, and managed to make a couple of clearances.
And that prompted several fans to suggest that he was one of the players who could be particularly happy with his performance in the 1-1 draw.
Here is what some of the West Brom supporters were saying about the 20-year-old’s display…
Gallagher is a top player #wba

Gallagher and Johnstone the only good players today

Couple of great crosses from Gallagher, he’s playing well. Come on lads, bung it in the net!💚💛

Much better second half, especially after the subs. Robinson very good. Quite like Krovinovic and Gallagher in the middle. Deserved point. A lot writing us off too early imo. We do look much better at the back with Ivanovic in #wba

Sam Johnstone superb but Conor Gallagher is the difference. The kid starts for Chelsea in a couple of years, absolutely no doubt!

Conor Gallagher looks great though. Giving us much needed energy in midfield.
Soooo pleased for Grant, took his goal superbly 🤩— Sarah Winter (@rah5rah) October 26, 2020

Much better second half, Gallagher looks quality and a great first goal for Grant #WBA

Different team the 2nd half. Periera has to start in the 10 role, Robbo made a huge difference for me when he came on, Gallagher MOTM imo & Grant showed he’s sharp despite lack of supply. Decent away point, a win has to come next week #wba

Also Slavs changes were very good. We looked a better side when Livermore came off. He was too slow in our attacking transitions and getting the ball forward. Gallagher looks the real deal 👏🏼#wba
