West Brom fans react as Tottenham reportedly eye Sam Johnstone

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone if reportedly-imminent PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to raid Spurs – and Baggies fans have responded.

Pochettino is expected to return to PSG – a club he played for during his career – after the French champions and Champions League finalists decided to axe German boss Thomas Tuchel after two and a half years in charge.

The Sun claim that Pochettino could look to Spurs for additions in January. Veteran goalkeeper and Spurs captain Lloris is one of those, given that he might want to return to his home country sooner rather than later.

The report claims Spurs are already planning to replace Lloris in case they lose the 117-time France international in the coming weeks. Manchester United’s Dean Henderson is an option, who has been linked with Spurs in the past.

Another is Johnstone. The 27-year-old – who was sold by Jose Mourinho for a bargain £6.5million (E&S) in 2018 – has impressed following West Brom’s promotion and Spurs are claimed to be keeping an eye on the stopper.

West Brom supporters reacted to the reported news that Tottenham are keen. Some are desperate to see their English stopper remain at the Hawthorns, while others are happy to see him go. One fan touted a fee of “£35million”.
