West Bromwich Albion failed to capitalise on Leeds United’s defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Stoke City at The Hawthorns on Monday night – and Baggies fans have hammered striker Kenneth Zohore.
Tyrese Campbell, who continues to be linked with both Celtic and Rangers, scored the only goal of the game after latching onto a Tom Ince pass in the first half and finding the back of the net. He went off with a hamstring injury moments later.
Similarly, Grady Diangana was replaced by Zohore after two minutes with the West Ham loanee struggling to overcome what looked like his recurring back problem. Zohore, 25, struggled throughout as Stoke’s defenders shone.

The combination of Liam Lindsay and the excellent Danny Batth combined throughout to keep £8million (Guardian) summer signing Zohore quiet throughout. Indeed, an out-of-form Baggies failed to create much during the match.
Instead, they were limited to long-range shots and crosses into the box – something you would think Zohore would thrive off, but unfortunately for Baggies fans, he failed to do so. West Brom do remain top, but only by a point.
West Brom supporters reacted on Twitter during and after the match to Danish striker Zohore’s performance, with many becoming increasingly frustrated at his lack of effect on the match. One fans Tweeted, saying “get rid”.
