West Brom suffered a narrow defeat to West Ham on Tuesday evening – but some of the club’s fans on Twitter did at least give credit to Matheus Pereira for his performance.
Sam Allardyce’s side travelled to the London Stadium for a Premier League fixture and went into the match off the back of a victory against rivals Wolves.
But the Baggies were beaten 2-1 by a West Ham side that jumped up to seventh in the league table.
Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring for the hosts on the stroke of half-time, before Pereira netted an excellent equaliser with a powerful left-footed finish that he rifled low into the net.
West Ham’s frontman Michail Antonio scored the winner with a clever finish in the box and West Brom remain five points off safety in the relegation places of the table.

A selection of West Brom supporters on social media were encouraged by their goalscorer Pereira.
The 24-year-old now has three goals in his last two league games to signal that he’s growing in the top-flight after a slow start.
He is a skilful attacking midfielder that injects something extra on the ball to the West Brom side and he’s going to be influential if they’re going to be successful in their relegation race.
