Aston Villa are reportedly set to double the weekly wage of Jack Grealish to fight off interest from Manchester City.
According to the Sun, NSWE are willing to increase Grealish’s wage by 100% from £100,000-a-week to £200,000-a-week. Moreover, the England international is already Villa’s highest-paid player.
City are keen to sign the attacking talent this summer as Pep Guardiola plans to improve on the creative quality in the Premier League-winners squad.

However, Grealish is seemingly not eager on the idea of moving to City. Villa finished 11th in the league last season, and there is an excitement that the Birmingham club can finish higher next campaign.
Indeed, the club’s owners are willing to invest in the squad. Dean Smith has already spent a Villa-record fee for Emi Buendia as reported by the Guardian.
Moreover, according to the Daily Mail, the Midlands side are now keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen Leon Bailey after missing out on Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe.

Indeed, exciting times are ahead for Villa. And supporters on social media are keen on Grealish signing a new deal with the club, even it means doubling his weekly wage.
Here’s what some Villa fans had to say about Grealish on Twitter…
