Aston Villa are close to signing youth prospect Finn Azaz from West Brom.
The Express and Star report that 20-year-old midfielder will join Villa this summer after rejecting a contract offer from the Baggies.
Azaz becomes the latest in a long line of West Brom academy graduates to end up at Villa. Louie Barry is the most famous example, with the striker scoring for Dean Smith’s side last season in the FA Cup.

The 20-year-old Baggies midfielder spent last season with Cheltenham Town. Moreover, Azaz was key to the Robins finishing top of the League Two table.
The midfielder will become Villa’s second signing of the summer following last month’s arrival of Emi Buendia. The Argentine winger has only recently joined up with his new club following his summer break.
And Villa fans on social media couldn’t believe that the club had poached another exciting talent from West Brom’s academy.
Here’s what some Aston Villa supporters had to say on Twitter about the club being close to signing Azaz from their Birmingham rivals…

Villa are also keen on Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe. However, it is looking extremely likely that the youngster will sign a new long-term deal with the north London club this summer.
