Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter after hearing that Crystal Palace will be without Jeffrey Schlupp for today’s clash at Selhurst Park.
What’s the story?
Well, the Eagles are without a few key players, as are Spurs.
Patrick Vieira is missing Eberechi Eze and Nathan Ferguson, while Schlupp also damaged his hamstring while on international duty with Ghana.
Tottenham fans haven’t exactly celebrated the 28-year-old’s absence, although some have made a point of how much of a boost it is.
Schlupp has enjoyed playing against the north Londoners at Selhurst Park in recent times.
The £9m man scored in a 1-1 draw in south London back in July 2020, and also netted in another 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park last season.
Of course, Nuno Espirito Santo himself is missing Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez, so it’s not all good news.
Who replaces Jeffrey Schlupp for Crystal Palace vs Tottenham?

In our view, Tottenham fans shouldn’t be too happy about Schlupp’s absence, as it opens to door for Michael Olise to come in.
The 19-year-old joined from Reading back in July in a deal worth £8m, but has been injured ever since his arrival.
Now, the wonderkid is back and set to be involved today, according to Vieira.

Olise scored seven goals and provided 12 assists on his way to winning the Championship Young Player of the Year award last term.
He is a real gem, and could potentially inflict far more damage on Spurs than Schlupp ever could.
For now, let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about Schlupp’s absence…
