Spurs fans have been having their says on Twitter this weekend as it appeared Gian Pier Gasperini is no longer in the running to become their new manager.

Gasperini is among the names being touted as a potential successor to Jose Mourinho. The experienced Italian coach is currently with Atalanta, who have impressed in the last few seasons in Europe.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, Gasperini will not be in the running for the Spurs job after ruling himself out of the role in an interview with Sky.

It is yet another blow for Spurs in their hunt for a new manager. The likes of Brendan Rodgers, Massimo Allegri, and Erik Ten Hag had all been ruled out in recent weeks, leaving some Tottenham fans perplexed.
