‘We’re finished’: Arsenal fans react as Willian opens up on his future

Arsenal fans have been reacting on social media in the last 24 hours after summer signing, Willian, signalled his intentions for the future.

In an interview for the Arsenal programme, transcribed by the Evening Standard, Willian made a number of admissions over his future.

The Brazilian winger, who was signed on a free by Mikel Arteta in the summer, has failed to live up to expectations this season in an Arsenal shirt. He began the season well, but has since been usurped by the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.

But Willian says in his interview that he plans to see out his contract with the Gunners. Within that, he hopes to win trophies, before leaving and potentially playing in the MLS, before becoming an agent in the game.

And Arsenal fans have been left than impressed with the notion of Willian staying put. Indeed, Twitter was full of comments in response to Willian’s interview, and it’s safe to say a few Gunners are not overly impressed.
