The 25-year-old is the Baggies’ third signing of the summer so far, following Filip Krovinovic and Kenneth Zohore. New West Brom boss Slaven Bilic is in the process of putting his own stamp on the squad.
Bilic will be expected to make West Brom serious contenders for automatic promotion this season. Ajayi has arrived to try and help get the Midlands outfit back into the Premier League. Should they secure a return to the top flight, the six-cap Nigeria international will be expected to successfully negotiate the step up too.
The 6’2” centre-back impressed for Rotherham last season and has proven his quality at Championship level. As an authoritative and commanding defender, Bilic will be hoping that Ajayi can be a leader at the back for the Baggies.
Ajayi looks to be a good, smart signing and he has the capacity to feature for the Baggies for years to come. Following the announcement of his arrival, plenty of West Brom fans took to Twitter to react to the news.

Really pleased with this signing – doesn’t always happen with me but we’ve bought a player still on the way up, improving & yet to peak! Beats a free “old un” past his best with a dodgy injury record! Need a lie down after all that positivity! ?? #WBA
