'Weak link', 'Completely lost it' - Everton fans on Seamus Coleman
Everton fans were critical of a number of players in yesterday’s 6-2 loss against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Toffees had led the game through Theo Walcott and might have been 2-0 up if Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s header had not been ruled out for a push on Davinson Sanchez.
But then Everton imploded and Spurs ran riot. Despite Gylfi Sigurdsson’s second-half goal, Everton’s two strikes were outdone by Tottenham’s six.
And one of the many players berated by Everton fans was Seamus Coleman, who is having a poor season by his standards.

The 30-year-old’s defensive work was questionable and his attacking menace is not quite as dangerous as it once was.
This has led to some Everton fans believing that Coleman is not the same player he used to be.
Once considered to be one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, there have now been calls to replace the Republic of Ireland international with Jonjoe Kenny for the upcoming matches.
Below are several opinions from Everton fans after watching Coleman in action against a rampant Tottenham side yesterday afternoon.
I think Coleman was arguably Everton’s best player 2 seasons ago, but he’s one of the weak links right now. Need help in central midfield and striker, too, although I was kinda impressed by DCL today. #EFC

Coleman dud, walcott dud, schniderlen dud, davies dud, all need to be moved on. Richarlison, DCL, Digne, Sigurdsson all v poor today #EFC

Lots of deadwood there – men against boys. The likes of Davies, Keane, Coleman (sadly), Tosun et al wouldn’t get into any European chasing teams. #efc

Bernard has to start, works so well with Digne. Mina has to start and Gana is crucial to our midfield.Tom Davies needs to go out on loan for a run of games. Hate to say it but Coleman is done and I don’t want to see Walcott starting for a long time. #efc

We need to realise we’re not going to improve if we still have players like Davies in our starting 11. Coleman’s completely lost it which is sad to see, gueye is our most important player and we’re probably the furthest we’ve ever been from the top 6. #EFC
