Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has praised Crysencio Summerville following his heroics for the Whites Under-21s on Friday night.
The Elland Road forward took part in the Premier League 2 meeting against Southampton’s U21s alongside other senior stars.
As well as Bamford, Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling, Junior Firpo started for Michael Skubala’s side.

Wilfried Gnonto, who signed for the Whites on deadline day, was also in the starting XI.
With such a strong line-up, Leeds unsurprisingly ran out 6-2 winners.
And despite so many high-profile names, it was Summerville who caught the eye above all.
After the match, Leeds Live wrote that the 20-year-old is ‘clearly too good for this level.
‘He bullied Southampton’s left-back all night with his ball control and skill.
‘Scored Leeds’ second of the game with a smart finish before winning the penalty that led to Bamford’s second of the game.’
Bamford, speaking to LUTV – as transcribed by the Yorkshire Post – said just as much.
“Sometimes it is too easy for him, I know it sounds silly but he is a really good player,” said the 29-year-old.
“We see it in training all the time, I think the next step for him is showing it in the first team when he gets the chance on a Saturday.
“You have got the young players like Darko [Gyabi], Willy [Gnonto] and Sonny as well, his goal was a great finish.”

Arguably one of the best compliments a young player can receive is that he’s too good for a particular level.
Summerville has very much outgrown Premier League 2.
Now, it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to fare for Jesse Marsch’s side.
