A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to praise Matteo Guendouzi’s goalscoring performance for his loan side today.
The 21-year-old is spending the 2020-21 season at Hertha Berlin, Football London reporting that they’re covering his wages for the duration of the loan spell.
Guendouzi joined Arsenal in 2018 from French outfit Lorient, the Gunners reportedly paying £7million for his services, and he has clocked up 82 competitive club appearances to date.

However, he was frozen out at the Emirates Stadium in wake of an incident with Brighton striker Neal Maupay towards the end of their Premier League clash in June.
To date, Guendouzi has made six appearances for Hertha and, in today’s Bundesliga meeting with Borussia Monchengladbach, he opened his account for the German capital side.
He did so in style, firing a fierce effort from just outside the box into the top-right corner of the net, a shot so fast and powerful that the opposition goalkeeper barely even moved.
The goal put Hertha in front on 47 minutes, though Breel Embolo’s 70th-minute response meant a share of the spoils at Borussia-Park.
Guendouzi’s effort, alongside Arsenal’s current struggles in the Premier League, left some Gunners fans wondering whether sending him out on loan was a mistake.
