Bruno Fernandes has been speaking about the Everton fans after Manchester United won at Goodison Park this afternoon.
United took all three points thanks to another goal from Antony, while Cristiano Ronaldo also scored his 700th goal to make it another memorable night in his hugely impressive career.

For United to win though, they needed to hang on amid the backdrop of the ferocious Goodison Park crowd. And speaking to BT Sport after the game, United midfielder Fernandes touched on how even when Everton get a corner, it feels like a goal for the Toffees.
“We know always playing against Everton here at their home, obviously we know sometimes when they have a corner it seems like a goal for them. They are really dangerous obviously and with the support from their supporters it’s really tough, but we did really well,” Fernandes said.
Everton are renowned for their home support but in the end, even the loyal Toffees couldn’t suck the ball into the net to muster that equalising goal. For Frank Lampard, it was a performance of positives though and the Everton boss will be happy in some ways, despite the loss.
TBR’s View: Fernandes Has Respect For Everton Fans
Fernandes played an important part again and given his experience in England now, he knows all about the Goodison Park crowd and how they go about their business.
Winning at Everton is never easy and United can be happy with their day’s work really. Yes, it wasn’t pretty at times but in the rain and with a bouncing Goodison, a win is a win.
These comments from Fernandes are a nice touch as well. it shows his respect to the Everton faithful and shows how he simply gets certain facets of the English game.
