Raphinha insisted that Leeds United have the best in teammate Kalvin Phillips, as the winger responded to the England international’s Instagram post following the Whites’ victory on Friday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men got back to winning ways as they beat Fulham at Craven Cottage. It was an impressive performance from Leeds, who had been on a run of three games without scoring.

Patrick Bamford broke the deadlock. And it was Raphinha who got the winner during the second-half after some brilliant work from Phillips and Bamford.
Phillips made a superb challenge in the middle of the park to win possession back. That allowed Bamford to slide in Raphinha, with the Brazilian producing an excellent piece of instinctive thinking to control the pass and then find the back of the net in two touches.

Phillips took to social media to laud the goalscorers and express his delight at the victory. And in response, Raphinha made quite the claim about the midfielder.
That prompted Phillips to return the compliment in an exchange that will certainly please Leeds fans…

It is only an exchange on social media, but it may well encourage those Leeds supporters desperately hoping that the club keep Raphinha for as long as possible.
The 24-year-old appears to have little ego and looks to be enjoying his football. He has now scored six times in the Premier League and looks to be happy being part of the team at Elland Road.
It is imperative that Marcelo Bielsa’s side continue to build if they hope to keep their better players. But in the likes of Phillips and Raphinha, they arguably have the perfect foundations to make that next step.
