Everton fans are frustrated with suggestions that Nikola Vlasic could make a return to the Premier League with West Ham United.
Returning to England?
The Telegraph claim that West Ham are looking to sign the attacking midfielder, if they are unable to obtain Jesse Lingard this summer.
Vlasic actually had a stint in his younger years, but Everton were unable to give him the first-team football that he craved.
Since departing for CSKA Moscow in 2019, Vlasic has really started to shine though, and it seems that West Ham could now take a punt on him.
With former Everton boss David Moyes at the helm at West Ham, that could be particularly galling for Toffees fans.
There was always a sense that Everton were making a mistake by letting Vlasic go.
And it’s fair to say that latest rumours have not gone down well on Merseyside.
Fast start
West Ham have made a roaring start to the season, so the idea that they could add further quality to their attack certainly appeals.
West Ham currently top the embryonic Premier League table on goal difference, after finding the back of the net eight times in their first two games.
Moyes’ side do need to add depth to their team though, especially as they are competing in Europe.
During his time in Russia, Vlasic has scored 33 goals in 107 appearances, and if he was to repeat those sort of figures at West Ham he would be a fine addition to Moyes’ squad.
