‘We are in mourning’: Some fans react as West Brom reportedly close in on their ‘incredible’ striker
West Bromwich Albion have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Mbaye Diagne on an initial loan with an option to buy from Galatasaray.
Sky Sports claims that the Baggies have been given permission to speak with the 29-year-old, and a deal has been struck.
West Brom are currently making arrangements to fly Diagne into the United Kingdom as soon as possible, it is believed.

The Senegal international has been superb for the Turkish giants this season.
Diagne has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions, including nine in 15 Superlig games.
His overall record in Turkey is nothing short of outstanding too, having also shone at Kasimpasa.
Diagne is currently on 54 goals from just 75 competitive appearances between both clubs.
The 6ft 4in ace, contracted to Galatasaray until 2023, also spent time playing for Belgium’s Club Brugge on loan last year, featuring for them in the Champions League.
As per Sky Sports, he has been playing as a lone centre-forward and is a sizeable presence up front, a very good finisher and has also shown an ability to drop deeper and link up play.
Needless to say, many Galatasaray fans really don’t want him to go, taking to social media to bemoan the seemingly imminent loss of their striker:
