'We are in discussions': Manager says he's in talks over signing Leeds talent on loan
Leeds United could potentially be sending one of their young full-backs out on loan soon.
This is according to Lancaster City manager Mark Fells, who said he’s in talks with the Elland Road outfit.
The Dolly Blues compete in the Northern Premier League Premier Division and are currently seventh in the table.
Fells, speaking to the Lancaster Telegraph, said he’s after a full-back who can also play on the wing.
He added that Leeds had kindly offered his side “a couple of options” and is hopeful of getting a deal done.
“We are in discussions with Leeds about the loan signing of one of their young professionals,” said Fells.
“They have actually given us a couple of options but I am hopeful that we will be getting a winger/full-back available to us.
“Hopefully we can get that done and for one it will bolster our numbers and also give us another option.
“We have seen how big impact Sam Fishburn has had on us.”
Leeds currently have 10 players out on loan.
These are Kiko Casilla, Elia Caprile, Leif Davis, Laurens De Bock, Ian Poveda, Helder Costa, Alfie McCalmont, Mateusz Bogusz, Ryan Edmondson and Kun Temenuzhkov.
