Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano has left his position with the European Clubs Association (ECA), with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy set to take his seat.
According to the Athletic, the Spurs figure will take over from Soriano. Manchester United official Ed Woodward is also set to leave his position with the ECA.
Soriano’s decision to leave whilst Levy comes in for the ECA comes just five months after both Premier League figures pulled out of the association to join the European Super League.

However, with that proposed competition now scrapped, both City and Spurs, as well as the other four Premier League clubs who signed up for the ESL, have now all re-joined the ECA.
Soriano has left his position on the board of the ECA for Levy to take over. But, the City CEO will remain with the association as an observer, as per the Athletic.

Indeed, the decision to appoint Levy on the ECA board has enraged some City supporters on social media.
Whilst Spurs sit top of the Premier League table, they are competing this season in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Here’s what some City fans had to say about Soriano leaving the ECA on Twitter…
