'We ain't winning': Some Liverpool fans sweating over pre-Chelsea update
A number of Liverpool fans have reacted to the club’s personnel situation ahead of the Chelsea game.
The Reds have been much better this season following a difficult 2020-21.
However, Liverpool now find themselves with numerous absences, and have stumbled in recent weeks.
After drawing at Tottenham on 19 December, Liverpool then lost at Leicester.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges are now third in the table, nine points behind leaders Manchester City.
Going into the Chelsea game, the Liverpool boss confirmed several absences.
Klopp will be without Thiago Alcantara and Takumi Minamino due to injury.
Andrew Robertson is also unavailable as he serves the final match of his suspension following his sending-off at Spurs.
In addition, Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi weren’t pictured in Liverpool’s last training session (Echo).
Klopp also confirmed there are three covid cases in the Liverpool squad, though he didn’t mention any names.
With the Liverpool squad looking depleted once again, some fans weren’t pleased and urged the board to bolster their ranks in january.
