Arsenal hammered Real Madrid last week at the Emirates, but the job isn’t done yet.
Indeed, Arsenal head to the Bernabeu on Wednesday evening to take on one of the biggest tests in world football – facing the European champions away from home.
Arsenal are expected to qualify, but this won’t be an easy task against the Galacticos.
As good as Arsenal were last week, on paper, this Madrid team is perhaps the best in the world.
Speaking to Amazon ahead of this game, Wayne Rooney has been discussing the individual talents the two sides possess, and he says that only three Arsenal players would get into the Madrid side.

Wayne Rooney says three Arsenal players would get into the Real Madrid team
Rooney shared his verdict on what a combined XI made up of Madrid and Arsenal players would look like.
The England legend was asked to compare every single player in the two teams’ starting XIs, and he says that only three Arsenal players would get into his combined team.
Rooney picked William Saliba ahead of Raul Asencio at centre-back, which isn’t surprising considering that Saliba is considered the best defender in the world by some.
Meanwhile, Rooney picked Myles Lewis-Skelly ahead of David Alaba after Lewis-Skelly earned tons of praise this season.
Finally, Rooney picked Declan Rice ahead of Federico Valverde, which is intriguing considering Valverde almost signed for Arsenal at one point.
Wayne Rooney’s combined XI
Rooney picked a team full of seriously talented players here, and it’s fair to say that this combined XI would be favourites to win the Champions League this season.

Of course, there are arguments to be made that this team should be weighted more heavily towards Arsenal. After all, the Gunners beat Madrid 3-0 last week.
There was no room for the likes of Bukayo Saka or Martin Odegaard in this team, despite both players being world-class talents who were better than their Madrid counterparts last week.
Rooney clearly does rate this Madrid team more than he rates Arsenal, but, based on what we saw last week, Rooney may well be mis-judging this one.
Arsenal will have the chance to prove Rooney wrong on Wednesday as they head to the Spanish capital.
