Ismaila Sarr has told Watford’s official website that Sadio Mane is his inspiration and insisted that he cannot wait to see the Liverpool forward win the Premier League title this season.
Sarr, of course, played a key role in the Hornets ending the Reds’ incredible unbeaten run in the league. The 22-year-old scored twice and contributed an assist as Nigel Pearson’s men won 3-0 at Vicarage Road.

But despite the win, Sarr clearly does not think that there is any chance of Liverpool missing out on the Premier League crown.
The youngster explained just how influential Mane has been throughout his career, and suggested that he expects him to add a league winner’s medal to his collection this season.

“Sadio Mané is not only a Senegal teammate of mine but he is my inspiration and my idol,” he told Watford’s official website. “I watch lots of videos of him to see how he does things like accelerating and dribbling, and for me he is the best player in the world. For sure, the best African player in Europe.
“When I first came to Watford he sent me some messages welcoming me to the Premier League and any piece of advice he gives me I listen to carefully. He has won the Champions League and I’m so pleased he will soon be winning the Premier League because he deserves this.”
Mane appears to be a perfect player for anyone to look up to. He has been an outstanding servant in the Premier League, firstly with Southampton and now with the Reds.
He has scored 79 top flight goals since moving to England. And like a number of Liverpool’s current players, he seems to be indispensable to Klopp’s side.
And if Sarr can replicate anything like the success that his countryman has enjoyed, he stands a fantastic chance of enjoying a brilliant career.
He is arguably off to an exciting start.
