Watford wideman Ismaila Sarr has called Liverpool’s Sadio Mane the best player in the world as he heaped praise on his Senegalese international team-mates.
As per the Hornets’ Youtube account, £25 million (BBC) record signing Sarr made it clear just how much he rates Mane after the wideman made another flying start to the Premier League season.
He said: “[Mane is] one of the best men in Africa and in the world. For me, he is the best player in the world. Because he is quality. He has won the Champions League.
“He has done everything for Liverpool and in all competitions, unfortunately not the Premier League but I hope he does at some point because for me, he’s the best African player in Europe. He plays well, he does everything well both in football and life.”

TBR’s View – Mane not world’s best but becoming as good as anyone below Messi and Ronaldo
Mane was an exciting player before joining Liverpool and has elevated his game to the level just below Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo now.
Is he the world’s best? No, but it’s somewhat clear from Sarr’s comments that his admiration for the £100,000-a-week (Spotrac) wideman comes at least partly from how he inspires him personally.
Mane is as dangerous a wide forward as you’ll find these days, along with Raheem Sterling. Neymar was widely expected to take on the mantle of world’s best player once the superhuman duo retire, but is Mane better than the Brazilian now? He is and he can still get better.
