Watford fans in awe of Will Hughes in win over Manchester United

The youngster was outstanding against the Red Devils.

Watford shocked Manchester United to claim their first Premier League win at Vicarage Road during the 2019/20 campaign.

Goals from Ismaila Sarr and Troy Deeney saw the Hornets beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team 2-0.

Watford have been playing a lot better under Nigel Pearson and this victory came as a result of some really hard work.

One man who epitomised such a dedication to the cause was midfield maestro Will Hughes.

The 24-year-old arrived at Watford in 2017 costing £8 million from Championship club Derby County (The Guardian).

Under the stewardship of Pearson, Hughes has looked transformed. He was excellent against Manchester United and looks to be coming of age.

According to Who Scored, Hughes crunched into no fewer than six tackles and looked every inch a quality player.

Watford will need a few more performances of this nature from the midfield general if they are to avoid relegation.
