Bayern Munich’s difficult season continued yesterday with a 3-3 home draw against relegation-threatened Fortuna Dusseldorf. The Bavarians are now fifth in the Bundesliga, with RB Leipzig, Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund all ahead of them in the pecking order.
The 3-3 draw at the Allianz Arena should also come as significant interest to Premier League side Watford. Whilst the Hornets were succumbing to a 2-0 loss against Liverpool one of their loanees was putting Bayern to the sword.
Bayern simply could not handle his pace and Manuel Neuer could not keep out his powerful efforts on goal.

Dodi Lukebakio scored all three of Fortuna’s goals in the fixture, including the last minute equaliser. Watford fans may remember that name, as they signed him in January. Watford signed the winger from Anderlecht, after he had impressed on loan with Charleroi.
But after playing just once for Watford he was loaned out to the German side this summer.
The DR Congo international looked like he could go on to be another forgotten Watford signature. However, he has taken his chance to shine in Germany. His hat-trick v Bayern took his tally for the season to nine goals in 12 games for his loan club and it appears he will be a key component in any relegation battle.
Watford will be right to keep close tabs on their taken after his Allianz heroics yesterday.
