Anwar El Ghazi failed to take his best chance yet in an Aston Villa shirt as Dean Smith’s men slumped to defeat last night.
The Villans were 1-0 up at Carrow Road but were pegged back by a Jordan Rhodes brace in the second half.
During the game, Albert Adomah had to limp off injured and Aston Villa were forced into a substitution.
With Yannick Bolasie rested, it was the perfect chance for El Ghazi to stake his first-team claim.

The 23-year-old, on loan from Lille, was given 40 minutes to show what he could do.
But he looked nervous and struggled to make an impact. El Ghazi’s play was largely ineffective and he looked scared to take any defenders on.
He came on at 1-0 and although neither goal was his fault, he couldn’t inspire Aston Villa going forward.
Here is what Aston Villa fans had to say about the Dutch winger.
