'Wasteful' - Everton fans were not impressed with Richarlison's latest display
Everton fell to a 3-1 defeat against Manchester City in the Premier League, missing the chance to move above Manchester United.
Marco Silva will not be too dispirited by Everton’s performance but a lack of ruthlessness in front of goal and some sloppy defending cost the Toffees in the end.
And one player who was guilty of being goal-shy yesterday was Richarlison.
The Brazil international is Everton’s top scorer this season and is usually reliable in front of goal.
But he spurned a glorious chance with the scores level at 0-0 yesterday and it could have been a different game if that had gone in.

The 21-year-old, who arrived in the summer from Watford, has netted eight goals in 15 Premier League matches for Everton.
But he could have done better yesterday as Everton looked to halt rampant Manchester City’s title bid.
Richarlison has a poor record against the top six and that was extended at The Etihad Stadium in this weekend’s loss.
Below are a selection of tweets from Everton fans discussing Richarlison’s lack of success in front of goal yesterday.

If Richarlison could hit the target today that would be nice. That needs to go on frame at least. Wasted chances. #efc

For how poor we were, if we calmed down for five minutes or so after scoring there may well have been a path back in. Not sure how Richarlison and Walcott missed those chances either. #EFC

Richarlison spurns another good chance after he & Lookman overrun the #MCFC defence before the ball comes back to the Brazilian just outside the area. Wasteful. #EFC
