‘Was so dominant’: Liverpool fans praise 22-year-old’s performance in Norwich win

Liverpool won 3-0 against Norwich City in their first game of the Premier League season – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were amazed by the performance of their star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Reds kickstarted their domestic campaign with an impressive away victory against newly-promoted Norwich.

Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah were the usual suspects who all got on the scoresheet at Carrow Road.

First of all, Jota netted in the first half with a first-time finish inside the penalty box. The Merseyside club then got on top during the second period. Firmino tapped in a close-range finish under the goalkeeper, plus Salah scored the goal of the match with a curled effort on the edge of the box.

Liverpool finished third in the Premier League last year during an injury-hit season, but they’ve got a squad of players that are used to winning things together.

Alexander-Arnold a key cog in Liverpool XI

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media believe that their defender Alexander-Arnold was a standout.

The 22-year-old stood firm defensively when asked questions with his back to goal, something which rival fans harshly criticise him about.

In addition, he was his usual self when it came to impressing on the ball and getting involved in the final third.

The English right-back missed Euro 2020 in the summer through injury, but it feels like this could be a massive season for him.
