‘Was sick tonight’: Spurs fans praise Erik Lamela despite Chelsea loss

Tottenham once again limped to a result this evening as Chelsea became the latest team to take points off of Jose Mourinho’s men.

Jorginho’s penalty was enough for the Blues to take the win, as a lacklustre Spurs once again struggled without Harry Kane at the top of the pitch.

Eric Dier was the culprit for giving the goal away. The England defender bringing down Timo Werner with a silly challenge that allowed Jorginho to step up and smash home.

Among the Spurs players on the field, few could really say they put in a good shift. However, one player who did get some credit from Spurs fans on social media was substitute, Erik Lamela. The Argentinian winger catching the eye at times and being one of few Tottenham players to try and force the issue.

Despite the disappointed, Twitter did have some comments from fans praising Lamela, who did his chances of starting the next game no harm whatsoever it seems.
