Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi in recent days.
Indeed, much of the speculation has suggested that Spurs are on the right track for his signature.
However, Fabrizio Romano has now dropped a transfer bombshell which is somewhat concerning for Tottenham.

Namely, that another club is now in talks with both Malinovskyi and Atalanta.
The transfer insider took to Twitter to report that Marseille are now making their move for the 29-year-old.
Worse still for Spurs, it looks as though the Ligue 1 outfit has an ace up their sleeve.
Romano claimed that Marseille could include Turkey international winger Cengiz Under in the deal.
Under has considerable experience in Serie A, having played for Roma between 2017 and 2021.
He went out on loan to Marseille last season, the club subsequently taking up their option to buy.
Under may well appeal to Atalanta, while Marseille are in the Champions League, just like Tottenham.
Spurs will no doubt be monitoring proceedings carefully, and perhaps plotting a bid of their own.
Tottenham may have done well in the transfer market, but a creative No. 10 continues to elude them.
Malinovskyi is a very talented and experienced player who would no doubt bolster Antonio Conte’s ranks.
Primarily a No. 10, the Ukraine international is an outstanding free-kick taker.
Last season, he registered 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions for the Bergamo outfit.
Since joining Atalanta in 2019, he has made 129 appearances for the Serie A outfit across all competitions.
He has scored 29 goals and provided 27 assists.
Malinovskyi also has considerable experience at international level, having won 49 caps for Ukraine.
