‘Wanna see this guy’: Some Rangers fans want ‘confident and skilful’ player to get his second start tonight

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have urged Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard to start Bongani Zungu in tonight’s Europa League game.

The Gers are flying high in all competitions, sitting top of the Premiership, progressing in the League Cup and in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Rangers will hope to seal top spot in Group D when they travel to Lech Poznan, who are currently third in the standings and have already been eliminated.

Zungu joined Rangers in October on a season-long loan deal from French club Amiens, and have the option to make the 28-year-old’s deal permanent next summer for a reported £2.7million.

To date, Zungu has made four appearances for the Light Blues – three off the bench and one start – and Gerrard has pledged to give him game time tonight.

Some Bears think the Poznan game would be a good shout for him to make just his second Rangers start – here is what they said on social media:

After tonight’s game, Rangers are next in action on Sunday when they head to Tannadice to face Dundee United, and the following day, the Bears will find out who they face in the last 32.
