Everton have been linked with a swoop for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and he would be a perfect signing for the Toffees.
But according to The Sun, Ademola Lookman could be used as part of the deal.
Everton want to bring Wan-Bissaka to Goodison Park and may offer Lookman to Crystal Palace as a makeweight in the transfer.
While Wan-Bissaka is the ideal man for Everton, Lookman should not be sent the other way.
Lookman is one of the country’s hottest prospects and Everton need to tap into his potential.
The England under-21 international is on the fringes of the first-team and looks lively when given a chance.
At the age of 21, he is far from the finished article. But it is clear to see he has natural talent in abundance.
Everton should not let him leave, unless it is on loan to gain some experience. Lookman could become a much more valuable asset in the future.
Wan-Bissaka would be a great signing for Everton, though. The 20-year-old is starring for Crystal Palace at right-back and has taken to Premier League football with ease.
At such a young age, he looks like an accomplished defender and he can deal with some quality players.
But Everton must try to land Wan-Bissaka without using his England under-21 teammate Lookman in exchange.
