Manchester United legend and Wales manager Ryan Giggs has given his thoughts on the development of teenager Neco Williams at Liverpool.
Giggs spoke to the BBC about the youngster who has represented Wales at age-group level and is apparently set to pick him for the friendlies against USA and Austria ahead of Euro 2020.
He said: “We are looking at Neco because he is playing for a brilliant team at the moment and he has done really well when he has stepped up.
“When a player makes a few appearances in such a big club like Liverpool, he is suddenly catapulted into the public eye. He is a fantastic player, still young and still learning, but the energy and quality he has shown when he has stepped up into the first team has been really good, so it’s exciting.”

TBR’s View – Liverpool could have international-standard Alexander-Arnold backup
Nathaniel Clyne is on his way out of Anfield having slipped down the pecking order and Liverpool look to have unearthed a quality backup for Trent Alexander-Arnold in Williams.
The teenager getting exposure to the international scene would only enhance his reputation and reinforce the feeling he can make the jump from occasional cup player to someone Jurgen Klopp could rely on.
The irony for the Reds is that it’s a Manchester United legend who may help them down the line with further strengthening the champions-elect squad they already have.
