Tyler Roberts came on with just a handful of minutes left to play as Wales drew with Croatia on Sunday night, but Welsh fans were not impressed with the Leeds United attacker – with many bemoaning a lack of work rate.
Former Everton winger Nikola Vlasic put Croatia one-nil up in the first 10 minutes, lashing home a first-time effort from the edge of the box that evaded the reach of Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.
However, Tottenham star Ben Davies’ run from just inside the Croatia half saw him play in ex-Spurs ace Gareth Bale, who finished with aplomb past Dominik Livakovic in first-half injury time. It gave Wales the impotus in the second 45.

Leeds star Roberts entered the fray with four minutes of normal time to play, replacing target man Kieffer Moore who was excellent up against Liverpool rock Dejan Lovren and Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.
Despite Wales getting into good positions, they failed to test Livakovic as much as they would have liked to. Their chances of qualification for next summer’s tournament is now out of their hands, though it does still hang by a thread.
Welsh supporters were not impressed with Leeds attacker Roberts, though. Many believe the £4million signing in January 2018 (Mail) was lazy, and looked uninterested despite Wales pushing for a winner late on.
Others criticised the decision to take Moore off and replace him witn Roberts, while some do not believe Roberts is good enough at this level.
