Wales fans hail Leeds star Tyler Roberts for his international performance

Leeds United’s Tyler Roberts completed 65 minutes of international football on Saturday night – and some Wales fans on Twitter were raving about his performance.

Roberts, 22, started during Wales’ 1-0 victory over Mexico in an international friendly.

Kieffer Moore was the match-winner for Rob Page’s side with his 11th minute goal, which should give them a strong platform going into Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Czech Republic.

Roberts, who earned his 13th senior Wales cap against Mexico, provided the pre-assist in the build-up to the winning goal.

The attacker showed some real bright moments as part of a front three, and it was a sign of the confidence he’s got right now.

The Leeds forward is enjoying his best run in the Whites XI, starting the last six consecutive matches.

It’s clear that he’s got so much potential with his pace, work-rate and movement, but when it comes to a clinical touch around the penalty box he’s still got some improvement to do to take his game to the next level.

A selection of Wales supporters on social media were encouraged though by what they saw from the Leeds talent on the weekend.
