Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has told BBC Sport that he will be gutted if the Premier League title is won without any supporters in the stadium.
The recent global health pandemic has seen professional football suspended at the top level, meaning Liverpool are facing an anxious wait over their title tilt.
At the moment play won’t resume until 4th April, although that date could be reassessed leaving Van Dijk and his team-mates facing an anxious wait.

Despite the possibility of Liverpool lifting the title without supporters inside a stadium, the defender has issued a firm promise to the club’s loyal fanbase.
He told BBC Sport: “No one wants to play the game without the fans.
“If we won it in an empty stadium and the fans weren’t there I’d be gutted for them.
“Obviously if there are no fans at Anfield, then it will be a bit of a blow.
“Until a decision is made on how we go on from here, then we just have to deal with it. But when it happens, we are still bringing the title to our fans, definitely.”
Liverpool are 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League and are on the cusp of their first title in nearly 30 years.
Boss Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to get the show on the road again and will be chomping at the bit to get the go-ahead to resume.
Class
Dutch defender, Van Dijk has been a revelation since signing from Southampton for £75 million in 2017 (BBC).

He is paid £180,000-a-week by the Reds and has led the club to two Champions League finals in as many years with the club.
Supporters will be delighted with his passion to ensure the club’s supporters can still enjoy the Premier League title victory.
The big worry at this stage is that the season will become null and void, meaning Liverpool’s wait for a league title will go on.
