Vinicius Junior posts one-word Instagram reaction to Liverpool star’s display

Vinicius Junior has seemingly waded in to the debate regarding the best player in the world right now, as he responded to Mohamed Salah on Instagram in the wake of Liverpool beating Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

The Reds won 3-2 in the Spanish capital. It proved to be an incredibly dramatic victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

They went into half-time at 2-2 despite taking a 2-0 lead inside 13 minutes against Diego Simeone’s side.

But they would bag a winner after the break. Salah – who had opened the scoring with a deflected effort – found the corner from the penalty spot.

The drama was not over there however. Liverpool conceded a penalty themselves shortly after. But the referee overturned his decision after consulting the pitch side monitor.

Liverpool are now five points clear at the top of their group. And they appear to have one foot in the knockout stages of the competition.

The brace meanwhile takes Salah’s tally in this year’s tournament to five. Only Sebastien Haller has scored more so far.

His latest display reinforces the idea that the Egyptian is currently the best player in the world right now.

Salah has 12 goals in just 11 games in all competitions. He has seven goals and four assists in the Premier League.

It is impossible to argue with those who believe that the 29-year-old is playing better than anyone anywhere.

And it seems that Vinicius Junior would potentially agree with those who put Salah at the top of the pile.

Of course, the Real Madrid star may have particularly enjoyed seeing Liverpool beat Simeone’s side. And he labelled Salah ‘crack’ on Instagram, a variation on the Brazilian term for a star player, usually reserved for the very best…
