Aston Villa fans showered praise on Marvelous Nakamba, after he produced a fine performance against Watford in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
Dean Smith’s side climbed out of the relegation zone by beating the Hornets 2-1 at Villa Park, with Douglas Luiz and Tyrone Mings cancelling out Troy Deeney’s first-half strike.

It’s a big three points for Villa, against a team that were unbeaten in their last seven games.
It wasn’t the best of displays collectively by Villa, but one man who really did stand out was the tenacious Nakamba in central midfield.
The summer signing from Club Brugge was industrious in the engine room and really held his own against a very good opposition midfield in Etienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
With two tackles, two clearances, 11 ball recoveries, an 82% pass completion rate and a 60% duel win rate, Nakamba was BBC Sport’s man-of-the-match.

It was a great outing for the Zimbabwe international, who will be hopeful of keeping his place in the side for next week’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Leicester City.
